OpenEvidence Wins Best Paper Award at CHIL 2023
At the 2023 Conference on Health, Inference, and Learning (CHIL), Eric Lehman (MIT, OpenEvidence) and colleagues won the Best Paper award. CHIL targets a cross-disciplinary representation of clinicians and researchers (from industry and academia) in machine learning, health policy, causality, fairness, and other related areas.

The conference is designed to spark insight-driven discussions on new and emerging ideas that may lead to collaboration and discussion.
The paper, titled “Do We Still Need Clinical Language Models?”, was a collaboration between scientists from OpenEvidence (Xyla Research Group), MIT, Harvard Medical School, The Hospital for Sick Children, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
